Shaylee met Emma at a retreat in high school at Rockridge. They also shared a class in high school, where they got to know each other better. They spent almost every lunch break together and have had many sleepovers over the years filled with baking, video game playing, and movie marathons to catch Shaylee up on all the good movies. Emma brings fun everywhere they go and fills Shaylee's life with so much laughter. Emma is Shaylee's closest friend and is a good friend to both her and Eric.

Kailee and Shaylee also met at their high school retreat in Rockridge. Kailee came along with Emma as a package deal and the three have been tied to the hip ever since. Kailee is infamous for bringing a "bread sandwich" to one of their many lunch breaks spent together. Said bread sandwich was two pieces of white bread with a slab of rye in between. Kailee was also at every sleepover over the years. Laughter and chaos often follow where they go but it's always so much more fun when the gang's all together.

Colette and Shaylee met at youth group but became close during a trip to Disneyland with the youth group grads. They shared many laughs and learned they have a lot of common interests, one of them being how much fun they have when they're together. They like to geek over their shared love of Disney and Disneyland, as well as just chill out together watching movies or having marathon watch parties of their favourite Netflix shows.

Amber also met Shaylee when she was only 13 as a student at Journey Youth Group and Amber was working as the Youth Worship Director. Amber was Shaylee's mentor and friend throughout high school and the two have continued to remain close. They both enjoy singing together, sharing memes, and taking Finnegan, Amber's dog, for walks.

Shaylee met Seliah when she was born. She was the first to make Shaylee a big sister. Seliah is the oldest of Shaylee's younger sisters. There are three years between Seliah and Shaylee. The two enjoy thrifting, going on walks, going to Starbucks for little coffee dates. They also worked together at a coffee shop for about a year, making memories and "slaying the joe” together, as they say.

Kayah, the third Mann sister, is often referred to as the "glue that holds the sisters together". There are nine years between Shaylee and Kayah. The two enjoy watching movies, playing the Nintendo Switch and going on walks together all while joking around the entire time. Kayah was there when Eric proposed to Shaylee and helped come up with a good story to get Shaylee to the site without her suspecting anything. She totally fooled her!

Eden is the youngest Mann sister, but you'd never guess that, as she's also the tallest. There are eleven years between Eden and Shaylee. The two enjoy thrifting, getting coffee, and having spa nights together as they both have a passion for self care. Eden and Shaylee love to have Taylor Swift dance parties, they went to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour Concert Movie together, dressed to the nines in their favorite era. They spent the night dancing and singing their lungs out.

Declan and Eric met over ten years ago when they were both youth curlers, and, in 2022, Declan met Shaylee at Peace Portal Young Adults. Where Shaylee introduced Declan to Eric, the two recognized each other, but didn't know where from; once reacquainted, they found that they shared many interests, including personal finance and Dale Carnegie. Even though Declan lives in Calgary, he and Eric maintain a close friendship and look forward to seeing one another and having more late-night conversations about complex topics, which they both enjoy.

David and Eric first met when they were 10 and 12 years old respectively while in the Junior curling program at Peace Arch Curling Club. The two of them shared some successful seasons before Eric gave up the sport, but the two remained in contact and stayed friends. David's fondest memories come from the yearly Christmas parties that Eric would host and trips to Saltspring Island. Although David is Eric's only friend in the bridal party who Eric didn’t meet through church or UBC, David takes pride in the fact that he remains one of Eric's oldest and closest friends.

Suraj is one of Eric's closest friends, having known him since their elementary school days. With a shared history that spans back to the days of playground adventures and initially bonding over Terminator trivia, all the way to adulthood shenanigans, Suraj is honored to stand by Eric's side as one of his groomsmen on this momentous occasion. The two can talk and do just about anything, a sign of the genuine friendship they share.

Philip met Eric at Peace Portal back in 2022. When Philip first met him, he could tell Eric was this classic engineer nerd who loved his numbers. But soon, Philip learned Eric was a finance geek, too - one that should have been in Sauder instead! Eric has been an inspiration to Philip not only because of Eric's knack for finance, but, more importantly, because of how Eric goes above and beyond for the ones around him. Philip wishes Eric and Shay nothing but the best as they approach the big day!

Eric and Brandon met at Peace Portal Young Adults, where they quickly found they shared a mutual interest in finances and politics. This discovery would lead to many late-night chats about such topics after fun evenings of games with friends, holiday parties, and church gatherings. No matter how much theorizing and debating they do, there’s always plenty for them to talk about!

Jacky and Eric met through Shaylee at church. At some point, Jacky became a good friend to them both as well their personal massage therapist. Jacky and Eric have always been able to rely on each other and have spent many late nights bonding over their values in life. Jacky and Eric's core memories were made on Salt Spring Island, where the pair built a bed and played Catan for 2 days straight. Jacky now lives in Kelowna attending UBCO.

Eric and George have been friends since high school; initially meeting through mutual friends, then enduring the shared suffering of the IB Programme, and now being engineering buddies. George has been there for Eric on many of his momentous occasions- the first time he got pulled over by a cop, his graduation, his first drink (or bottle, rather) of alcohol, his proposal to Shaylee, and now George couldn’t be happier to play a part in Eric and Shaylee’s union.
